Some Custom Super D's
A few photos of some Magnum Super D's I worked on last week. It's getting to be the time of year when these big rubber swimbaits start moving a lot of muskies around here. With my baits looking tired and worn, I figured I needed to update my personal collection a little. I won these 3 Super D's on eBay a while back and the colors I got were pretty good but I couldn't resist running them through the paint booth to make them a little more suited to my taste in colors. I think they turned out fairly well, now all I need is the time to get them chewed up.
The colors are
Custom Sucker, Tennessee Shad and Dr. Carp

Big Muskies
A few photos of some big muskies send to me by Don Slagle of Hoosier Hand Made Muskie Baits. These fish were taken buy one of Don's customers last week and measured 50-1/2" , 46" and 45". All three were caught trolling one of Don's new crankbaits. Here's a a photo of the new crankbait and the last photo is of a glider made on the same style blank. Each and every one of Don's lures are all hand made from the finest materials available and you really cannot understand how well built his baits are until you get one in your hands and look at it, they really are built like a tank.
You should do yourself a favor and check out some of Don's baits, you won't be disappointed. Here's the address to his website........tell him Jeff sent ya.

Which One to Choose ????
Here's are few of the many, many colors of a double bladed spinner, called Fittertails, a friend of mine makes. These have 2 custom powder coated, translucent candy colored # 10 blades, custom blended flashabou skirting and hand poured curly tail trailers on Mustad treble hooks. These are amazingly well built and the blades are the most durable of any I've ever used.
If your interested in getting a few of these bucktails you can find them at Smokey's Muskie Shop. Here's the link to his web page

Some Pike from Norway
Here's a few photos of some Pike my friend Erik got today on the 8" shallow paddle tail swimbait. In his report he said that after trying many brands and styles of baits, from deep to shallow, this is the only lure he could get the fish to bite. He is returning to the same waters tomorrow so I look forward to seeing more photos of his catch.
In the last photo is the beaten and destroyed lure. After taking several fish on it, a small pike missed the back hook, resulting in a bitten off tail. The results of when soft plastic and teeth come together whether pike or muskies.
