Here's a few pics of a body design I been playing around with for over a year. This body is a paddle tail design in the shape of a little musky or pike. It measures about 13" long with a diameter of about an inch or so. The long fast tapering tail section with the over sized paddle tail should make this one have lots of tail action on even the slowest of retrieve speeds. I've had thoughts of making this a shallow version, similar to my 8" model....and I also thought about weighting it to be used deeper in the water column. Either way I think it would be a very versatile bait. As of right now I don't know if it'll even make it into production or not, so I figured I'd show you all a few pics and hopefully get some feedback as to whether or not you folks would like to see this one become a reality. Any and all feedback greatly appreciated.
You can post feedback in the comments section or send them direct to me via my email.
jami jami Jeff this cud be something.
ReplyDeleteBut a long thin tail cud that be a problem ?
That the fish will ripp it a part ?
I agree with my fellow norwegian above.. On the other hand, long thin baits seems to catch alot of big pikes.
ReplyDeleteLooks good! Looking forward to seeing them in action. Keep up the good work
ReplyDeleteI would sacrifice a tail for a fish anytime. Although I have a harder time finding any tail nowadays.
ReplyDeleteI think its not so fragile as it looks.. The bigboy dont have much rubber in the tail either, but its still pretty durable! Looking very intresting Jeff!
ReplyDeleteLooks promising to me! I know a lot of lakes full of small pikes. Guess what the big ones are feeding on?
ReplyDeleteThanks Guys for all the comments, I appreciate it. If I get some time in the near future I may make a mold of this little esox shape. If I decide to mold it... I'll pour a few bodies and send to you guys to test, since you 6 seem to be the only ones interested in it enough to comment. Thanks again guys.....Jeff
ReplyDeletelooks like a mb79 fluffer ! why make something that allready is done ????????????
ReplyDeleteI don't usually respond to comments posted by someone hiding behind the anonymous name but in this case I have a couple questions for "Mr. Anonymous".
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think that just because two lures have a similar shape that they will be the same ?? Having never seen a "mb79 fluffer" personally, but I'm sure, that in a side by side comparison there would be big differences between the two. Differences in size, weight, action, sink rate, vibration, sound, rigging, and etc.
This "mb79 fluffer" lure that you speak of, I'm sure that it is a fine bait, but unless I miss my guess...it is not perfect in every way, so with that being said.... then is it not possible that maybe it could be "done" better ?? Not many things in life cannot be improved on...somehow.
So Mr. Anonymous, if you wish to continue to enlighten us with your knowledge and your comments, don't hide behind the "anonymous name" log in and use your user name because from now on, all anonymous postings are subject to be deleted, no questions asked....at my discretion. Thanks Jeff
OK mmmmmmmm

mb79 fluffer
Mister anomymous if you really meen that the fluffer is really like this new jeff boggs lure you are wrong. It's a complit diffrent boddy style and the head is diffrent, and it's much longer.

That guest is retarded. Your model is not even close to that fluffer thing. Your's has much more detail and I would almost think the long thin tail would give the paddle better action. Looks good. I was just browsing the site. I've seen your work around and it's awesome. I need to finally send you some blanks.

I think these look great! Did you ever make them and if so do you still? I would love to try a couple out someday in the St. Clair River and in Lake St. Clair for musky. If you do make them, what do you charge for them?
ReplyDeleteThank you for your time.
