I was doing a little cleaning in the shop recently and I came across a bunch of new unpainted blanks.

Since I don't do many hard baits nowadays, I don't need these now.

These were just extras I bought when doing orders a few years ago.

Most are a little dirty but otherwise in great shape unless noted in the description.

    From time to time I have a few extra baits from large orders or some that I've made for myself or some are just color experiments. After I accumulate enough of them  I'll offer them to my blog readers.
   In the top photo we have four(4) Big Boy swimbaits - two(2) in the color Motor Oil Smallmouth (the one(1) on the far left has been thrown a few times but is still like new ..... all others in this post are new) the two(2) on the right are a couple different variations of Cisco. Blue Cisco and Manitou Special (Purple Cisco).

  In the 2nd pic there are two(2) 15" curl tail shad and two(2) 15" shad bodies. The top one is a Dark  Baitfish color, 2nd one down is a Threadfin Shad color, 3rd from top is Manitou Special and the bottom one is Emerald Smallmouth.
   15" size either style the curltail or the paddletail are $12.50 each

I have three baits that I did some paint experimenting on ....they turned out pretty decent so I'm offering them for sale to the blog readers.
There are two Big Boy Swimbaits and one Widetail Swimbait.
One of the Big Boys and the Widetail are in a 2-tone chartreuse and orange pattern and the other Big Boy is in a Red Horse Sucker color.

A Few More For Sale

Here's a few more baits that I have laying around the shop so I'm going to offer them for sale. Some are not completed in these photos but they will have the hooks installed before they are shipped.
In the first photo there are 4 slow sinking (shallow) Big Boys and 2 fast sinking 8" Paddletails, The colors of the Big Boys are as follows (left to right) Little Musky, Pretty Perch and Manitou Special (dark smoke with purple and black flake). The Paddletail colors are Pretty Perch and Psycho Firetiger.
In the second photo there are 4 fast sinking Big Boys. The 2 on the left (with the big eyes) are molded with a new softer plastic, these are a couple leftover test models that I have been trying this year. The colors are Lake Trout, Threadfin Shad, Psycho Firetiger and Glitter Black.

In the third pic are 5 Widetail swimbaits, one Ribbontail swimbait and one Ribbontail Chatterbait. the Widetail colors are Black Gold, Brown Perch, Red Nose Shad, Black Face and Green Perch.
All five Widetail are sold.
The Ribbontail is in a Black color and the Chatterbait is in a Chartreuse Musky color.
The cost for any of these that are in the first two pics are $15.00 each and the baits in the last pic are $12.50 each.

More lightly used Super D's.
These magnum sized custom Super D's are from my personal collection. All are custom painted in some of my favorite patterns. The colors are Dark Firetiger, Miller Perch, Dr. Carp, Barred Sucker and Tennessee Shad. This lot has some bright colors and some natural colors so it will cover most all conditions. These five have been used a little ....but not much and they are still in very good condition.
These baits do have the split rings but no treble hooks.

I have these custom Super D's that I'm wanting to sell. These have seen very little use and are in very good shape. These do not come with treble hooks, they do have the split rings but not the hooks. The following is a list of the colors and sizes.
There is two (2) Mega D's ( this is the pounder size) One is painted in my very popular Dr. Carp color and the other is in my Canadian Cisco color.
There is two (2) Magnum D's, one is painted in a Spotted Sucker color and the other is done in a Silver Shad color.
There are four(4) Regular D's, One in Dr. Carp and one in Tennessee Shad color in a shallow version and one each of those same colors in the regular sink version.
Not many of these Swimbaits have ever been offered in custom colors such as this so if you like fishing something that other folks don't have then this lot is perfect for you.

There's 16 pieces, if I counted correctly, in an assortment of styles....Bulldawgs, Big Boys (both deep and shallow), Paddletails, Widetails, chatterbaits and a few others. All are custom in one form or another.....some have some paint missing and a few need hooks but overall there's really nothing wrong with them.... other than I haven't used in quite some time and I need to clear them out........this kind of stuff seems to pile up really quick around here. Anyway I wanted to offer it to my blog readers first and if no one here is interested I'll post in some other forums.

I finally got a few of the new Shallow Big Boy Swimbaits put together and ready to be offered to my blog readers. This small batch are the first ones that I have been able to offer to you fine folks and just in time for spring.

Price is $14.00 each plus shipping. Shipping will be in Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes and the shipping cost will only what the actual shipping charges are. Up to 4 of these should fit in a small flat rate box and the cost for that size box is right at $5.00.

Specs.
The baits length is 13" when swimming and about 10" or so with the tailed curled (like in the photos). For reference: these are bigger than a regular size Bulldawg and slightly smaller than a Magnum size Bulldawg.
Weight is 3.65 ounces.
Sink Rate is less than a foot per second.
The body size and shape is very similar to my Standard Big Boy but with several improvements to make it more user friendly in and around shallow water.
Besides being retooled to use the new frame assembly, I enlarged the eyes to a full 3/4". These eyes are hand painted in 3 colors for a natural look. Painted eyes are much more durable than the glue-on 3-D eyes. 3-D eyes are flashy but prone to coming apart and falling off.
The plastic is a new custom mix which retains all the toughness of the older models but it is a little softer and more flexible.
The frame assembly is 150 lb test, 2 piece, interlocked, 49 strand stainless steel cable. The ends are crimped to military specs and pull tested to ensure they meet specifications. The internal weight is molded around the frames cable. The cable is also inside a super tough but flexible PVC sheath to prevent the frame from tearing out of the body. In addition the sheath is bonded to the soft plastic to hold the frame assembly firmly in the bait. All split rings are a #5 x-heavy. Hooks are Mustads, round bend musky trebles, the belly hook is a 3/0 and the tail hook is a 2/0. I have designed provisions into the frame to allow adding another hook under the chin if desired. The hooks appear to be free floating but with the design of this frame assembly the hooks are held under the bait much like an internal harness. My first thoughts on this design would be that they would be constantly tangling with the tail.........but after using these for awhile I was greatly surprise at how little it does tangle.
I am not taking special orders for these at the present time.
These 8 pieces are all I have for sale now and it may be awhile before I get the time to make more.
If your interested in something, other than your run-of-mill, mass-produced swimbaits, something that you know your local fish haven't seen, give one of these a try......I'll bet, you will be glad you did.
I have a gut feeling that these will be gone fairly quick.
These will be sold one a "First come, first served" basis.
